Businesses to benefit thanks to changes at FBC Manby Bowdler
FBC Manby Bowdler has strengthened its offer to businesses with a new appointment and a strategic move within the company.

David Preece and Julia Fitzsimmons.
Employment lawyer Julia Fitzsimmons has joined FBC Manby Bowdler as a Partner. She has acted for national and international businesses and Government departments and specialises in managing employee issues around business restructures.
Julia, who has been based in the Midlands for a number of years since training with global law firm DLA Piper, is an experienced tribunal advocate with particular expertise in discrimination issues. She has acted for a wide variety of manufacturing businesses as a legal advisor at EEF, the industry body for the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Julia will be based at FBC Manby Bowdler’s Telford office providing support to businesses across Shropshire and in particular working with the firm’s dedicated agricultural and manufacturing teams.
The Birmingham University graduate, who previously worked with Black Country firm George Green LLP, said: “I am delighted to have joined such a dynamic and forward thinking firm that already has a strong reputation in the Midlands’ manufacturing and business sectors.
“I believe my experience in supporting owner managers and manufacturers with major reorganisations and their industrial relations will bring an additional benefit to FBC Manby Bowdler clients.”
Julia’s appointment is backed by the move of Corporate Associate David Preece to the Telford headquarters two days a week to provide additional support to Shropshire businesses.
David advises on all aspects of company and commercial law. He has a growing construction law practice, dealing with both standard and bespoke construction contracts and he is an established member of the Intellectual Property (IP), Technology & Media Law Group, advising clients on a range of non-contentious intellectual property matters.
