Summer fair at Shrewsbury care home
A Shrewsbury care home will open its door to visitors next month for a special fundraising event.
Briarfields in Raby Crescent, Belle Vue, which is run by Coverage Care Services, will host a summer fair on August 5 from 2pm to 4pm.
There will be entertainment from guitarist and 60’s rock and roll singer Mal Coote, refreshments, a raffle, a wine and water tombola, and stalls including bric-a-brac, crafts and books. Visitors can also try their hand at a hook-a-duck game and guess the name of the teddy.
Proceeds from the fair will go to the residents’ comfort fund, which pays for entertainment, outings, and themed activities.
Home manager Denise Morris said: “We’d love as many people as possible to join us at the summer fair and enjoy a great afternoon of activities in our lovely grounds.
“There will be something for all the family to enjoy and we’re looking forward to a great event.”
