Villa specialist Solmar carries torch for Peloponnese
Villa specialist Solmar is getting in on the 2024 Olympic vibe after adding the Peloponnese – the birthplace of the Olympic Games – to its latest list of holiday destinations.
The family-run company has added 12 exclusive villas in the southern Greek province to its European portfolio for 2024 and says it is excited to be offering holidaymakers the chance to visit the ‘real Greece’.

Initially Solmar will be offering villas in the Kardamili, Methoni, Stoupa areas of the province, which is located on the southern tip of mainland Greece, but more properties will be added in the new year.
Villas range in size and cater for various party size and need, from the authentic and cosy one-bedroom Villa Palataki I to the four-bedroom Villa Achilleas which is perched on a hill overlooking the bay of Stoupa and surrounded by fruit trees.
The Peloponnese joins the Ionian coast, Kos and Ibiza as new destinations recently added to Solmar’s European portfolio.
It comes after an unexpectedly busy period for the company which has been supporting travel agents and customers affected by the shock closure of the James Villa brand earlier this month.
The Burton-on-Trent-based company has taken on more than 450 of James Villas’ cancelled properties and will now be heading into 2024 with a record 2,000 plus villas across Europe and Florida on its books.
More than 800 of these villas have been added in the last six months and numbers are set to grow further in 2024 as the company heads into its 30th year and fast becomes the UK’s preferred villa specialist for owners and suppliers.
