Green energy firm gets industry certification
A firm of Shropshire renewable energy experts is gearing up for a busy winter season – its first since winning prestigious industry accreditation.
Shrewsbury based 7 Energy, a specialist in wood burners and biomass boilers, has been certified by HETAS, the official body recognised by Government to approve biomass and solid fuel heating appliances, fuels and services including the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses.
Registered installers have to be trained and approved to UKAS standards and can self certify that their work complies with the relevant building regulations.
7 Energy is covered by the accreditation for wet and dry wood burner and biomass boiler installations, along with the installation of flues and chimneys.
Although the firm also designs, supplies and installs other renewable energy systems including solar pv panels and solar thermal panels across Shropshire and Mid Wales, the advent of winter always sparks a surge in enquiries.
Managing Director Martin Dowley said: “Gaining HETAS accreditation was very important as it gives customers peace of mind that we reach the stringent standards set by an independent industry organisation.
“Even though it has been quite mild so far, the onset of winter always leads to a spike in enquiries and installations of heating systems as people realise that they want their home to be warm.
“With the Government’s Renewable Heating Incentive for domestic and non domestic installations, there is a real passion among people for installing renewable energy systems that will also save them money in the long term.”
7 Energy now features on the HETAS searchable register of approved installers at www.hetas.co.uk. For more information on 7 Energy and its range of services, visit www.7energy.co.uk.
